Story Log
The Purpose: "Story Logs" can be created for each tale told. The time spent completing this log is time well-spent both in preparation of the story to tell & in critiquing the job after the telling.
Being as descriptive as you can, complete the log. The recording of this information validates your purpose, gives you direction, insight & helps you to visualize your story better. After completing Part 1, you may be inspired to add, emphasize or delete certain elements of your story.
Some tellers have a specific timeframe to tell their tale. This log will help you keep your performance to that set time.
A Suggestion: Keep these logs in a storytelling file. In the future when searching for a story to tell, this file will help simplify your search.
